Whitney Hoot
Whitney Hoot was a Research and Communications Intern at Brighter Green during the 2009-10 academic year. She graduated from Barnard College of Columbia University in May 2010, with a degree in Sociology and Environmental Science. After working for Brighter Green over the summer as a consultant, she moved to Pohnpei, Micronesia to teach English to high school students with WorldTeach. Since September 2011, Whitney has worked for the International Organization for Migration running a climate change adaptation and disaster preparedness education and awareness program. She is interested in food and climate change, indigenous rights, wildlife conservation, and animal welfare. Whitney continues to blog about these issues from Micronesia.
