Piyali interned with Brighter Green in Fall 2010. She joined Brighter Green out of an interest in animal rights, humanity's relationship with other forms of life and the Earth, and environmental sustainability. She found her experience with Brighter Green to be personally life-changing, and regularly shares all the valuable information she has learned at the organization with others. She is majoring in Philosophy with minors in Religious Studies and Creative Writing at Fordham University, and is set to graduate in May 2012. She is interested in and currently pursuing film and literature.
