Taylor Vick was a Brighter Green intern during spring 2015. She graduated from Long Island University’s Global College in May 2015 with a degree in Global Studies. Having studied in Costa Rica, India, Australia, Hawai’i and New York City the past four years, she has cultivated her interest in issues spanning the environment, sustainability, human rights, and animal rights. Her specific focus is in human-animal relationships and ethics. Prior to her internship with Brighter Green, Taylor was an intern at Leilani Farm Sanctuary on the island of Maui in Hawai’i, where she worked to promote compassionate and sustainable lifestyles and also helped take care of the 200+ rescued and adopted animals on the property. In her free time Taylor enjoys playing music, organic farming, making art, reading fiction, and writing letters.
