Brighter Green’s Work in China Featured in GFC’s Magazine

The Global Forest Coalition (GFC) released the latest edition of their magazine, Forest Cover 55. This issue looks at the effects of global trade in just four key commodities—beef, soy, wood, and palm oil—which, together, are the main drivers of deforestation in the world. Associate Wanqing Zhou wrote about our work in China for the GFC magazine. The aim of this work is to decrease the consumption of animal-based foods in order to reduce the impacts that these foods have on our climate, ecosystems, public health, socio-economic development, and animal welfare. Wanqing  covered some of our recent work and our plans to further develop the Good Food Academy website, hold the second Good Food Hero Summit in August 2018, and conduct research on China’s food movement and the state of meat in the country and the realities of the growing industrial animal-based food industry.
