This year’s Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP23 for short) took place on November 6-17 in Bonn, Germany (the COP was formally hosted by the government of Fiji). Brighter Green was represented by Caroline Wimberly, and three youth from our our Good Food China network. Caroline Wimberly wrote a blog post on World Animal Net about her experiences in Bonn. She reports on civil society activities and side events which brought attention to the link between animal agriculture and climate change. For more information on outcomes of COP23 and emerging advocacy opportunities for animal protection organizations see the accompanying blog post by Janice Cox, the co-founder of World Animal Net.
