Brighter Green Attending the Global Climate Action Summit

Brighter Green’s Caroline Wimberly will be at the Global Climate Action Summit (GCAS) in San Francisco from September 12-14th. GCAS will bring leaders and people together from around the world to “take ambition to the next level.” The Summit will celebrate the extraordinary achievements of states, regions, cities, companies, investors and citizens with respect to climate action. It will also be a launchpad for deeper worldwide commitments and accelerated action from countries—supported by all sectors of society—that can put the globe on track to prevent dangerous climate change and realize the historic Paris Agreement.

As part of the Global Climate Action Summit, businesses, governments, NGOs, arts and music organizations, academic institutions, and others are hosting affiliate events in San Francisco, and around the world, from September 10-14th. These events are an opportunity to create additional arenas for exploring climate challenges and solutions that complement Summit activities. Affiliate events range from panel discussions and workshops to exhibits and installations.

Brighter Green is excited to be hosting a unique affiliate event, framed as a strategy session for those working on issues of food, land use, and/or shifting diets in the climate change space. Learn more about our collaborative, participatory gathering here.
