Lunar New Year Video Project

To celebrate and encourage more environmentally sustainable, climate-friendly, and compassionate Chinese New Year celebrations, the WFD WeChat team and Brighter Green collaborated and acquired videos from many people (mainly ethical or environmental vegans) and one Chinese dog in our networks. Jian Yi combined and edited all the footage, creating a positive, plant-based Lunar New Year video message. He created a shorter “trailer” (3 minutes) that we previously posted, as well as the full-length version (13 minutes), which is embedded below. Both activist videos were released on “little” new year (which fell on February 1, 2016), and have reached about 35,000 views (so far!).

Jian Yi also created a third video (10 minutes) featuring Buddhist monks, which reached over 250,000 views in two days (with the numbers continuing to skyrocket). The video is embedded below, and you can watch it here.
