Brighter Green associates Caroline Wimberly and Wanqing Zhou will be speaking on a panel at the 2017 US Climate Action Network (USCAN) Annual Meeting this week in Richmond, VA. USCAN has about 168 members, while the larger CAN International network has over 1100 member in over 120 countries.
The breakout session on Food, Agriculture, and Climate will also include Tonya Rawe from CARE; Pete Kolbenschlag from Colorado Food and Farm Alliance; and Kelly Stone from ActionAid. The session will cover domestic and international policy in issues related to food/agriculture and climate change, including hunger, food security, livelihoods, industrialized meat and feed production, biofuels, campaigning, and partnerships; and will relay heavily on discussion and ideas for next steps.
