In 2017, Brighter Green coordinated the first Good Food Hero Summit with the Good Food Fund. This event took place in conjunction with a “road show” around China. You can read the e-book describing the experience here. In 2018, we organized a speaking tour around China about “greening” dining in educational institutions and the second Good Food Hero Summit took place.
To share information about our programs and events across China, Brighter Green utilizes WeChat, a very active social media service in China. We hold monthly live WeChat “chats” (in English and Chinese) with experts and advocates from different countries and with varying perspectives. Our WeChat platform has grown quickly and now has more than 3,000 regular user/subscribers.
The summits led the Good Food Fund to establish their website, the Good Food Academy—a hub to raise awareness of the impacts of food systems and empower people to make more mindful food choices.
