Over the years, Brighter Green has given presentations on the links between meat consumption and global warming in conjunction with Climate Week NYC. In 2010, Mia MacDonald gave a presentation on the links between meat consumption and global warming at NYU with Jasmin Singer, then of Farm Sanctuary, and Marisa Miller Wolfson, director of the film Vegucated. In 2012, Mia MacDonald was on a panel at NYU on “Global Equity and Animal Agriculture,” with Lori Gruen, Chair of the Wesleyan Philosophy Department;Chetana Mirle, Director of Farm Animals, Humane Society International; and Peter Li, Associate Professor of Social Sciences at the University of Houston. She also presented Brighter Green’s film on China’s experience of intensive animal agriculture, What’s For Dinner?
