The Good Food Summit Primer is now available in both Chinese and English. Brighter Green and our partner organization in China, the Good Food Fund, collaborated to produce the primer as a resource for attendees of the third annual Good Food Summit in Suzhou, China, in August 2019. The summit gathered Good Food leaders, change-makers, and interested citizens to discuss transforming our existing industrial agricultural system in order to feed a growing population within planetary boundaries.
This primer provides a variety of short articles from sources including the EAT-Lancet Report, Food & Water Watch, Global Forest Coalition, and Compassion in World Farming. It also includes interviews with experts Walter Willett, member of the EAT-Lancet Commission and Professor of Epidemiology and Nutrition at the Harvard T.H.Chan School of Public Health, Carina Millstone, Executive Director of Feedback UK, and Joyce Tischler, founder of the Animal Legal Defense Fund and Professor of Practice at Lewis & Clark Law School.
The primer is organized by the Good Food Fund’s six major areas of interest: Climate Change & Ecosystems, Health & Wellbeing, Socio-economic Development, Food Security & Food Waste, Animal Welfare, and Food Ethics. These topics are also highlighted on the The Good Food Academy website.
