Brighter Green Takes to the Streets for the Climate

Brighter Green joined Friends of the Earth, Mercy For Animals, ProVeg International, World Animal Protection, The Plant Based Treaty, and Compassion in World Farming at the March to End Fossil Fuels in New York City on September 17, 2023.

Organized by Indigenous Mexican activist Erika Xananine Calvillo Ramírez (holding the banner, above left) from Stop Financing Factory Farming (S3F), the Animal Agriculture Contingent gathered with the message “End Factory Farming.” Together, we bridged conversations between food systems and fossil fuels by explaining how animal agriculture is an often-overlooked contributor to the climate crisis and is deeply dependent on fossil fuels.
