Good Food Fund and Brighter Green Being Considered for Food System Vision Prize

A proposal led by our partner organization in China, the Good Food Fund (GFF), is in the second round of the global Food System Vision Prize. Brighter Green is part of the consortium working on the prize vision. This competition, sponsored by the sponsored by the Rockefeller Foundation, OpenIEDO, and Second Muse, aims to amplify discourse on the current state and the future of the world’s food systems.

GFF is in consortium with Brighter Green, Yale Hospitality, and Slow Food Greater China, among other partners. You can read more about our project vision, From Mama’s Kitchen to Metropolitan Beijing, here. The vision set forth by GFF advocates for plant-based systems and cuisines as a means to slow GHG emissions, feed a population approaching 10 billion globally and 50 million in Beijing, protect food safety, and support animal welfare. The first round of the prize had more than 1,300 applicants. Of those, 79 are, like us, in the second round. We are one of only two semi-finalists from mainland China.
